Looking back, there have been lots of highlights. From a personal point of view, playing out a complete re-fight of the Peninsular War was a fascinating and fun experience, but discovering Nuts! and re-dsicovering WRG 1925-50 for WW2 gaming have been pretty good as well. I have haphazardly played out lots of magazine scenarios too, mainly from the first 25 issues of Miniature Wargames so far. There have been lots of exciting encounters and lots of excuses to get armies out on the table for DBA and Polemos ECW.
The most popular posts ever have been:
The Review of Neil Thomas' book One-Hour Wargames
The detailed walk-through of Polemos Napoleonics Battle of Bassano
The AAR of the Attack on La Londres Farm using the WRG 1925-50 rules
The AAR of the Battle of Barnet 1471 using the DBA 3.0 rules
The Prayer Book Rebellion mini-campaign, again using DBA
Quite a variety of posts amongst the favourites, which perhaps surprised me, but there again maybe it gives a decent indication of the range of games I cover here.
So what next for the blog? I don't foresee any big changes in the near future, except hopefully that the next couple of years of my life will be relatively good for gaming and that should be reflected in the number and variety of posts I do. There is no shortage of battle and campaign scenarios I want to try out, or rules I would like to try them out with.
So again, many thanks to all those who have visited the blog. I hope to continue to post things which you will find of interest and if there is anyway you think I could improve it, or the games I play, please feel free to leave comments, I'd love to hear from you.
